Instrumental Teacher - Woodwind (Recorder Specialist)
The Vacancy
We are looking for a skilled and engaging Recorder specialist to deliver high-quality evening tuition to people of all ages. Based at a site in Bournville, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated music educators and support learners in developing their musical skills, confidence and enjoyment of music.
As a Recorder Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive recorder lessons during evening sessions.
- Teach students across a range of ages, abilities and stages of musical development.
- Encourage good technique, musicianship, creativity and confidence.
- Support students in preparing for performances, assessments and progression opportunities where appropriate.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes enjoyment and achievement.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an accomplished recorder player with strong teaching and communication skills.
- Has experience teaching, either individually or in groups.
- Holds relevant music qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Can inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Demonstrates excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
