Instrumental Teacher - Percussion
The Vacancy
We are seeking an inspiring and skilled Percussion Tutor to join our team of dedicated music educators. Initially, this role will be based at one of our Music School locations but may expand into the school settings later on. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality instrumental tuition, inspiring the next generation of musicians and helping pupils develop their confidence, creativity and musical skills.
As a Percussion Tutor, you will:
- Deliver engaging individual, small group and whole-class percussion tuition.
- Teach a range of percussion instruments to children and young people of varying abilities.
- Support pupils in preparing for performances, examinations and progression opportunities.
- Encourage participation, musical enjoyment and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, music service colleagues and parents to support pupils' musical development.
- Maintain accurate registers, records and reports
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent performance and teaching skills on percussion instruments.
- Holds relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Has experience teaching children and young people in educational settings.
- Can motivate, inspire and engage learners of all abilities.
- Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
