Are you an enthusiastic keyboard/piano teacher seeking to inspire and nurture musical talent in Birmingham? Services For Education Music Service is seeking individuals with a deep passion for music and teaching to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young musicians and nurture their musical development from the very beginning. You’ll teach pupils across a range of ages and abilities in different school settings, delivering engaging lessons that help children develop strong technical skills, confidence, musicality and a genuine enjoyment of playing.

Your days will be varied — from teaching one‑to‑one lessons to running small groups or supporting wider school music-making. You’ll have the freedom to bring your own teaching style and creativity to lessons, while being part of a friendly and supportive organisation committed to making music accessible to all.

We welcome applicants with experience in:

  • Small group and 1:1 teaching
  • Whole‑class instrumental teaching
  • Ensemble direction
  • Working with children with additional needs

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A confident and experienced Dhol player
  • Passionate about sharing South Asian percussion traditions with young people
  • A positive, engaging communicator
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage their own timetable
  • Willing to travel between Birmingham schools

Services For Education uses the power of learning and music to create and build confidence among children, young people, adults, and communities across Birmingham.

Our mission is to bring music and learning to life. We believe that every young person should be able to grow up to be the very best that they can be, regardless of their background.

To this end the charity was formed in 2012 to provide more opportunities for children of all ages and abilities in Birmingham to reach their full potential. Our work has recently expanded to include working with young people, adults and communities.
